Bachelors Programs (4 Years)

• BS Computer Science (Morning, Afternoon)
• BS Information Technology (Morning, Afternoon)
• BS Software Engineering (Morning, Afternoon)

         Entry Requirements

• At least 50% marks in ICS / FSc pre-engineering / pre-medical with additional Math/ A-Level with Math or equivalent qualifications. Or, at least 60% marks in DAE in a relevant discipline.

Masters Program (2 Years)

• MSc in Information Technology (Morning, Afternoon)

         Entry Requirements

• At least 50% marks or Grade C in BCS / B.Com / B.Sc Engineering / BA, BSc with elective Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent qualifications.

• MSc in Geographical Information Systems – GIS (Morning, Evening)

         Entry Requirements

• At least 50% marks or Grade C in BCS / B.Com /BSc Engineering / BA, BSc with Mathematics, Computer Studies, Statistics, Geography, Geology or equivalent qualifications

 

 

How to Apply

• Pre-admission Entry Test for BS Programs will be conducted on Saturday 25 August, 2007 and MSc Programs on Sunday 26 August, 2007 at PUCIT.

• Admission Forms will be available from the Admissions Office of PUCIT, Old Campus, starting July 19, 2007 from 09:00 A.M. to 05:00 P.M. daily except Saturdays & Sundays, on payment of Rs.400/-.

• Deadline for submitting completed Admission Form along with attested copies of Educational Certificates/Degrees should be submitted to the Admission Office of PUCIT on or before August 24, 2007. Applications received after due date shall not be entertained.

 

 

Examination Year and Age Limit

Order of Preference

1. 1st Annual 2007 & 2 nd Annual 2006
2. 1st Annual 2006
3. 2nd Annual 2005 & 1 st Annual 2005

 

 

Age Limit

Maximum 24 years for Bachelors Programs and maximum 26 years for Master Programs (Morning Session only) on the last date of receipt of application forms.

Note: There shall be no condition on Examination Year and Age Limit for Afternoon & Evening Sessions (Masters Programs only).

 

Financial Assistance and Scholarships

• Top three position holders of each Intermediate Board admitted in BS Program are offered full tuition fee scholarships for four years of study subject to maintaining minimum required CGPA after the first year.

• Full tuition fee scholarships for the top three candidates in the merit list for the first semester of their study

• Full tuition fee scholarship for undergraduate students with 875 marks or above in the Intermediate Examination, for the first year of their study subject to maintaining minimum required CGPA after the first year.

• Generous merit- and need-based financial assistance to over 500 students per year

• HEC-Japanese Need Based Scholarships

 

 

Special Note:

Hostel accommodation to outstation students admitted in the morning session subject to availability.

Candidate(s) applying on self-financing basis must attach a Bank Draft/Pay Order of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Hundred Thousand only) in favour of “Treasurer Punjab University” with Admission Form.
