LAHORE: Prof Dr Muhammad Arif Butt, acting vice chancellor of
Punjab
University, has agreed to adopt the Tenure Track Statutes from January 1, 2008, in anticipation of the approval by the university syndicate.

PU Registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan has issued a formal notification in this regard.

According to the tenure track pay package, an assistant professor may be offered a monthly salary ranging from Rs 47,100 to Rs 66,100; an associate professor from Rs 67,300 to Rs 94,300: and a professor from Rs 107,300 to Rs 174,200.
